If you want your wood to look it's best, this guys finishing job is up there with fine furniture makers. Deerslayer- wood. If you need wood for your 21, 27, 27A1, 28, M1, or M1A1; then this is the guy to talk to. Look at the stock on this gun. It's absolutely beautiful! Dan, I have the Navy front grip; unfortunately I do not have a mounting screw for it (yet!) Glad to see that your shop is back in action. Dave Janowski- receiver registration, receiver markings, technical advice, springs for bolt. Dave is the man responsible for putting the "1" over the "8" on the receiver. He also put the receiver serial number on the bottom of the trigger frame like the 21s have. Dave is the 07 FFL that put my gun on the books as a 27A1 carbine. Because the gun contains a registered full auto-conversion device, the short barrel is allowed on this gun as long as it has the firing pin in it. Also, this gun runs on the Dave Janowski 27A1 spring kit; smooth as silk! Gordon H- Cleaning rod, parts box, and technical device. Gordon's reproductions are the greatest and I am proud to have them in FBI case. Hey Gordon, Maybe my gun will make it into your next book under "Colt Wannabes!" Gordon was also happy to let me ask him numerous questions on the telephone. PK- final gunsmithing. Need I say more! PK assembled, tested and finished the gun. This gun also has one of the Diamond K grip mounts. Colt 21a- FBI Case, technical advice- Ron, thanks again. This FBI case is the cat's a$$! Doug Richardson- receiver, barrel, front sight, technical advise, vertical grip- I got lucky the day I called Doug and found out he had a semi-finished 27A1 receiver with Colt markings that "someone back out of the deal" on. Very high quality stuff here! Tommygunner- stockslide; Daemon's stock slide is great. For people who are considering converting their 27A1 to a detachable stock, this stock slide is for you. Merle- drum work; THE drum doctor. He got my WH L rolling again! Nick Iannamico- Thompson Board. Probably the most important guy on the list! Without the Thompson board, I never would met the great talents that made this gun possible. Everyone else- I have gotten countless tip and tricks from scores of people here on technical issues as well as advice and opinions. Thanks everyone, I dump a drum for you guys! The BEAUTY of your gun is that is has a transferable pin hence you can keep the rest as long as you put a longer barrel! It can still be put in a WH/Kahr 27A1 bolt. The original design of the firing pin is a "full auto only" gun that fires at a VERY fast rate (somewhere between 1100 to 1200 RPM. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif ) My gun has a weighted bolt and a buffer/spring system that has it down to about 950 RPM. Single fire mode works great with no double shots or jams.
