I know that colt has all the fancy nickel stuff but are any 1928/1928A1 internal or any part in GENERAL comptable with Colt thomp[sons so I can save money and if so how would I make those parts nickled coverd or are they just pure nickle

The Colt parts are nickel steel, a very common high nickel content alloy back in the day. Many people claim that the Colt parts are nickel plated but that is incorrect.

You can have your parts nickel plated but heavy contact/friction parts will eventually wear through as nickel plate is fairly soft in comparison, with say, chrome.

Just go with standard post-Colt parts of your choice which is certainly fine for all applications. Faking the finish on post-Colt manufactured parts is easy to detect and really accomplishes nothing. FWIW

The only real difference between Colt and Ww2 1928s is who manufactured them (oh, Colt's have a better finish in general as less time was spent on ww2 guns so they could get them to the front faster). Other than that all parts are interchangeable. Even on a M1 trigger frame all internal parts are the same.
