brveagle
That savage 1928a1 really caught my eye when they first published the catalog and I would most likely throw a bid out if it wasn't for that 20% buyers premium. I realize it's beating a dead horse to complain about it, but it adds up real quick with those higher dollar amounts.
Bridgeport28A1
Lot# 1022 has a partial stamp just after the serial number just to the left of a ordnance wheel stamp. the partial stamping could be a S-45 stamp indicating it was overhauled by Savage in 1945. Maxim
Dear Morphy Auctions,In viewing your Nov 17-18,2021 items on line, I notice a problem with this MG-42. Lot # 1044.German small arms serial numbers used four digits and a letter, then started over with the next letter. This serial number is listed as "65781" but on close examination is actually "6578 l" with a lower case "L".This may cause a problem with the BATFE, who is known for inaccuracies in the records anyway.
