WTB Mauser M712 20rd mags

Recommended Posts

sarco has been out of stock for a few years,,i got a few from them that were quite nice fit and finish,,i wish they would reimport these again,,just sayn

Sarco had those made, not sure if they were imported, I don't think so. I talked with one of the head honchos over there about these a year or two ago. He said the dies are still available with the mfg and they could make them again. He said his concern was that they would take forever to sell as he said that's what happened with the last stock. I told him that I would buy a bunch if they were available and that I was sure others would do the same. It might be worth calling them and trying to convince them it would be a good investment to make more of them. They could probably ask $200 apiece and easily sell.

There are others and originals that pop up occasionally, but I'm too lazy to google right now.

I was aware of those for quite some time however at nearly $450 for one 20rd mag, I will just have to pass, too much Linguine.

They are in the UK. I have already had a failure of getting a magazine through customs, I lost money on that and I’ll never buy anything gun related from over seas again, at least till we get a new government in place.

File a form 6, it's free and online. I just brought in a case of very rare mags from outside, and no one here had any. There are a fair amount of 712 mags here that do pop up, so I've never felt the need on those. Patience or WTB ads work. When I needed them I picked them up here and there over a couple years time.

Mauser porn. Took me well over 10 yrs. to find that holster.

Don't you have to be an importer of Firearms and own an FFL business to use a form 6? I don't believe just anyone can use a form 6 or is there something I'm missing.

Anyone can file a form 6 for parts, magazines, accessories, etc. You get into certain guns/receivers or commercial quantities you'd need an FFL of some type to facilitate that transaction. Many other countries require an export permit as well, so you do your import form, get it approved, then forward it to the seller who uses that to get an export permit and then months later your stuff can ship. All said, it's a fraction of the time of an NFA transfer!

The empire state building was built faster than my last two form 4 transfers......this is our government at work, or obviously not at work. In the real world people would be fired.

Not cheap but https://www.handgunsoftheworld.com/clipsmz.html stocks some rare and unusual items. I just bought a 20 round 712 magazine from them.

JohnsonLMG is right, ATF Form 6 approval usually takes less than a week and is fairly straight-forward to do. CMR international is in the UK and you must obtain an export permit for a gun magazine. UK Border Force can sometimes hold up an export for a while and they'll cite the Covid pandemic as the reason. Purchases outside the US can be challenging (dealing with foreign customs agencies, language barriers and payment issues, etc.), but well worth it for very rare items. However, I believe the 712 magazine is common enough stateside that one will show up sooner or later. They usually go for $300 to 400 depending on the condition.

Well I tried the M712 mags from Triple K and they ran great! No feeding issues whatsoever. They're a well made copy of the originals for a very fair price ($95.00) Gonna get a couple more. I would definitely recommend if you've got a FA Schnellfeuer M712! Thanks again for all of you who responded and to Machinegunboards.com ! Todd in Oregon
