One final word. Is this shit illegal or not? A simple answer with a link to the law that specifically prohibits it would be best and then we can put this shit to rest once and for all.

Thats the entire purpose of this post. Lets put it to rest once and for all with the truth from the source (links please).

(Again, I don't want anymore TSMG stuff right now, don't even have an M1A1, I am too busy buying M16 related stuff and don't have the money anyway, but this issue needs to be resolved once and for all)

You know, the U.S. should make a better effort to assist the Russian economy. A few well placed legislations would make it work for both our great nations. Can't you just see the boatload of goodwill docking in our harbors? Wished one of you guys would run for President.

Ad has been taken down! Heck I would have given 5 for a screwdriver.

I wouldn't think that would be a violation. But then I have never heard of a Thompson Screwdriver.

Maybe it was made by the Thompson Hardware Co...

I guess a Binford would be better.

Ah, Ok the ad isn't on the Sturmgewehr.com as first listed.

Guys the add is still there. If u read my earlier post u know that I live in tucson and have visited this place and talked to this gentalmen. As I said, he requested a permit to import this stuff from russia and it was aproved. I realize I'm a nobody so call the man yourself! Butt take my word that the stuff is as advertized. Scroll down to message board and u will find add and ph#. Hope we can get to the end of this someday. If someone does call Ihope they will post a report!

What is a "Thompson screwdriver?"

Would it be illegal to purchase this item (only) from him, or is considered contraban also?

I talked with a guy who bought an M1 kit from AZ Walt, he said that it was definitely unissued, some dings in wood. This is a good sign, don't kick the horse that made it happen. No matter how it was done, it's done. The govt. employs many b------crats which interpret things 100% differently and the govt.does not issue nor allow the use of common sense. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

Is this the same guy that had them at the creek last week? If so, they are beautiful. unissued because they are still in the "blue". Sorry, no white lettering. Wood is excellent and barrels are brand new looking.
