What Is Your Dream Thompson?

Recommended Posts

We all love Thomspons, but if you custom make a Tommy OR get your hands on ANY Tommy used throughout history, which would it be?

Maybe a famous criminal Thompson? or a one that was verifyably used to storm Normandy?

I personally would like one with some history, like a Mob gun?

What's your pick?! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

I would like to have back a 1921ac I once owned and sold. The gun was #398 and I obtained it in trade for 2 AR15's - then traded the same PD a second AR15 for a C drum and a No. L drum and original police hard case.

Sold all of the above for $3,500. which was at the time far more than the gun was worth.

OK, this may be a little nutty, but I would like the 28 used by Saunders on Combat.

Sgt,

I don't think that's nutty all, it would be a great gun to have.

My choice would be one of the two Colts that was owned by my local P.D.

When my sherriff signed my form 4 he told me about shooting them when he was a young officer. He said they were traded for two M-16's years ago.

What a shame.

British proofed 1928A1 military. Classic lines of the 1921AC, but WWII combat use. My perfect Thompson. Got the others, but don't have one of those. Drat the luck http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif

#41 and #15,040. I want 'em both. Pristine condition of course. Book ends on history.

Oh, I forgot to add that (the real) Savage S15041 would go well with the previous pair.

My preference would be a custom 1921AC made of titanium-alloy and rated for +P ammo, preferably also with replacement barrel and upper so I have an option of using .45ACP or the new .50GI. (Round for a .50-cal 1911.) Classic 1921 vertical-forend styling, drums (of course, we need a new titanium .50GI C-drum for this one), and you got the double intimidation factor as a PDW of both Thompson and a half-inch muzzle opening.

Or maybe a polymer 1921AC (think Thompson with Glock technology)

This is all assuming that we could miraculously get legislation passed to make the Ever-RED (formerly Evergreen) State NFA-friendly...

Just my $.02.

Well, ducks - I'd take back my WH that I sold less than a year ago for $8k. I'd even pay the new owner what he paid for it!

HAH!

I think I'd be glad to get any operating Tommy for under $10k.

Right now, I'm reduced to a Mac-10 and Ruger AC-556. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif

I actually have my dream gun, but...

If I were to have one more, it would most certainly be Auto Ordnance number 26. This is the gun all the colts were copied after. It would have to be the real original Father of the Thompson Submachine Gun family.

In reality, I would take any Irish Sword and be thrilled. I would love to have had that one Murry sold.

This one made me think a day of so.

I would love to have a 21 with history - the one in Berrian Co, or Henry Ford's would be cool, but why? I would never shoot it.

I have a bastard numbered 28 that shoots great. And damn it - I love it, and it is exactly what fits the bill for me! a Shooter!

i have a thing for the overstamps. so i'd have to say on that saw action, maybe pearl or somewhere like that. or how about one that was in the silent service, would that make it a sub gun? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif
