Roland the Thompsongunner
So I have read some of the information on the new proposal for the assault weapons ban. From what I gather it will stop the sale of new guns and also stop the sale of existing guns but they will be grandfathered. There is also a ban on magazines in it too. Not real clear on wether the existing mags would be grandfathered or not. My big concern is how would this affect the mgs? If mags are totally banned it pretty much would make MGs useless as far as shooting goes. I am nervous this may pass with all the bs going on right now. TSMGguy
I wouldn't be too concerned about this, other than to stay informed. It'll never make it through the senate. The last AWB was politically very costly for the democrats. They have not forgotten that but will posture for their base anytime they get the chance. Got Uzi
Its already been a costly 2 years for them.....what worries me is they have nothing to lose at this point as they know the ship is sinking so why not go full retard?
Roland the Thompsongunner
That is kind of my thinking also they need some kind of big win to pull them out of the gutter before fall. They are using the roe vs wade thing to the fullest extent but that wont be enough. Im nervous
RoscoeTurner
Still has to have 60 votes in the senate, doubtful they have that.
Thumpy
Faster they pass this the faster Americans will have to choose.
johnsonlmg41
Still has to have 60 votes in the senate, doubtful they have that. That is what was said about the bill a few weeks back, and yet 15 republicans snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for no reason at all? Now we have unspecified "red flag" laws and a huge amount of some type of unknown social spending? Never underestimate the stupidity of weak RINO's looking to get invited to the next party on the hill. IIRC even Mitch voted for it?
Roland the Thompsongunner
That was my thinking also did not expect that to pass so quickly. Makes me feel like we are in trouble
Got Uzi
I can honestly say that I have lost sleep over this issue to an extent....trying to figure out what parts and such to order and keep on hand for building HK type host guns for people. I don't want to sink a pile into parts and then the economy tank worse so i'm stuck with stuff I can't sell. I don't want to not order and then have orders I can't fulfill due to not being able to get said parts. Or I have a bunch of guns in inventory and those a$$hats in DC feel we don't need those "evil baby killer assualt weapons" and then I'm really screwed. I'm at one hell of a cross roads......and I have lost all faith in both parties to be able to do anything correct.
Sandman1957
Stay the course. Worrying is not a course of action. Voting and getting like minded people to vote and writing your representatives is...
johnsonlmg41
I'm sending money to certain primary candidates recently. You can write all you want, and vote, but spending money to sway the 5-10% in the middle is what it's all about. An investment of a few hundred dollars to specific candidates will ensure you're able to buy what you want in the near term, and that will in turn keep prices on the parts you're buying lower vs. bans and panic buying that will cost you more in the long run than buying a politician. That's how I see it at this point. While I don't have Zuckerberg money to purchase entire city elections and install my own election employees, a bunch of us can make a difference.....and we must. ppgcowboy
The gubmint makes more money off a gallon of fuel than an oil company. You want to know what company makes all the oil companies look like lemonade stands, take a look at Apple. Joke Biden should pick their pockets. Ryo
Those fk'rs pushed it to vote on it today from what I read. Senate is likely where it would be stopped with the need of 60 votes, but I would email your representatives. Sadly my state if full retard.. but I still write. Maybe one day they will right the wrongs they have done this year..
Got Uzi
I saw where Nancy is pushing the vote to today....I reread the bill and I think I better find a way to calm down as I'm gonna have a stroke or something....damn near everything I own would become "illegal" in their eyes. Suppressors would be useless due to a threaded barrel being an "assualt weapon" and even my Fleming sear would pretty much be useless as I wouldn't be able to have the hosts as they all fall into that horse $hit bill. Im sick of those A$$holes telling we the people what we can have from behind their wall of armed security. IDK how much more of this crap I can take anymore, there hasn't been any good news in the last few years that makes someone have anything to look forward to. They think the economy is F$$KED now.....let this crap sink in and see what happens. Oh and I'll pretty much be out of business as I build HK clone guns, sell suppressors, and transfer NFA for people. That and they want to make it so someone can sue the MFG of a firearm used in a shooting. Well then fair is fair-if I get hit by a drunk driver, that means I can sue the car MFG, the place that served them, and the maker of the alcohol too. RoscoeTurner
It is being pushed through so Democrats can go on vacation to their districts and tell the people they did something about refunding the police and gun control. I still believe it has little chance of becoming law.
Blanksguy
Got Uzi,You are thinking along the right line of thought though...........maybe we do need to look at suing those other "manufacturers" (IE: The alcohol that the driver drank (?)........maybe growers of cannabis and manufacturers/sellers of CBD-oils (?)...........maybe manufacturers of cars and Trucks that can go over the speed-limit (?)........and maybe Cities and local governments that do not allow us to be able to protect ourselves (?).). Once these other manufactures and local/State Governments understand that they too can be sued......maybe they will pressure Federal-Government to stop these types of Laws.........or severely limit them.
