mitchell6776
After a year of waiting I finally received my 1918 BAR. It's a lend-lease/home guard gun so it missed the A2 upgrades and is in great shape. There seems to be a bit of wobble in the fore grip . The screws are as tight as I can get them. Is this normal? If not, what is the fix for a wobbly fore grip? Thanks Matt
jim c 351
Matt,Is the wobble in the wood or the gas tube??Suggest you remove the fore grip and check wood for damage around bottom screw hole. How about a little more data on the gun such as,--make, serial number, barrel date and maybe some photos.Jim C
mitchell6776
I removed the hand guard and the little bit of wobble is actually in the gas tube. Is this something to be concerned about? Winchester 87208. 11-18 barrel date. I'm not smart enough to figure out how to attach photos apparently ... OCM
Wobble around the gas cylinder tube retaining pin area maybe ? I'm kinda limited here, I have a Winchester in semi, same barrel date as yours, 11-18, bit different gun but is tight as can be. There's a couple good BAR guys here, they'll figure it out. Get some pictures on, that will help.

jim c 351
Matt,Really nice Winchester pics ,thanks for posting.I suspect that you won't have a problem. Probably just a case of tolerances .The pictures of the "Home Guard" Winchester that I posted is very similar to your BAR. How soon do you plan on shooting it??Jim C
mitchell6776
Hopefully shooting it next Tuesday. Really looking forward to it.
Normal1959
Very nice. Congratulations. I thought i was looking at mine for a minute. Make sure to take it apart and inspect it prior to shooting and lube it well. PM me if you need any help. Eric

GaryKeim
While I haven’t taken possession of my m1918 Winchester yet, it also has a sightly loose fore-grip. FYI.
