fifthmdec
Looking at a Colt AN M2 30-06 that is fixed configuration. Looking at changing to the flexible model with the spade grips. Anyone have any experience with the changes? Thanks
Black River Militaria CII
Simple change: add trigger bar, bar pin and bar spring to lock frame. Replace fixed back plate with spade grip flexible back plate. If you do not have a spade grip back plate, finding one will be difficult being extremely scarce now. Finding a Colt made spade grip back plate probably won’t be possible. Buffalo Arms spades have been the most common to find as a part over the years. If your gun is equipped with the side mounted sear release bracket, it should be removed as well. FWIW
