My1928
A friend handed me a couple of Thompson mags at a shoot this past week because I recently got my Thompson. This is one of the mags. Is there any special collector value or monetary value? Thanks in advance!
michaelkih
Not really any more than the other Colt 20 round mags. They are cool though. Gotta collect the set.
Colt Chopper
More valuable than a standard military 20 rd. mag for sure.
rpbcps
Don't forget to look inside the magazine, with spring removed and you'll see if they have MSCO, (Mitchell Stamping Company, Philadelphia PA), stamped inside backstrap. Over the years I have accumulated seven examples with and two without the MSCO stamp. Two of the seven with the MSCO stamp, have also had their witness holes soldered by British / Commonwealth forces during WW2. Here is an example of the MSCO stamp on the back strap.
