I assume this is off one of the IMA kits as that is the way both of mine were cut.... As for the serial number is that the "hidden" number to confuZe the s/n grinders... gijive Posted January 7, 2004 Report Share Posted January 7, 2004 You can't sell from the hidden number who the manufacturer was. It was obviously either Savage or Auto-Ordnance. They didn't preface the number with the Savage S or AO in that location. Guessing by the serial number range it was probably a Savage made receiver.
