TSMGguy Posted September 18, 2019 Report Share Posted September 18, 2019 Or it might be one of the mandrels used by three different firms as part of the process to press ridges into formerly slab sided mags. IIRC, the order came out in late 1941, and the work was done to increase magazine reliability and feeding. The third WaA stamp meant a modified MP38u.40 mag. I've seen 387, 815, and 37 stamps. Some mags had four stamps. I have three NOS 98E 42 mags with just two WaA stamps each, so they were probably not modified. Where are the pics from?
