Walter63a
This looks like a really good price for a reprint of this very rare book. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif They describe them as letter perfect reprints of the very rare 1931 edition of Enright's "Al Capone-On The Spot." It contains 115 period photos and 3 maps. I'm picking one up!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Regards, Walter Link: http://www.usmbooks.com/capone.html
Sig
Very interesting I think I need one of those as well. I noted that they accept checks, or money orders. There other options were PayPal or ordering through Amazon.com, BOTH of which are ANTI-GUN, so I hope no one here uses those methods.

Gunner
Did you guys look at the rest of their books? About 95% of them are about the Third Reich, and they seem pretty pro-Nazi! They're not getting any of my money.
Walter63a
Gunner, don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. I don't know anything about the people running the http://www.usmbooks.com/ website, but there is an explanation on one of their pages. They claim these reprints are being made available so that people can get the truth first hand, without the spin of a historian/writer. In other words, they are providing primary sources, at a very reasonable cost to the public, considering what these documents would fetch as originals on the open market. If we don't study the unvarnished past, we are doomed to repeat its mistakes. I highly recommend, not only the Capone book, but also the book on the Katyn forest massacre, and the book called, Papers Please (about Nazi Germany's identification papers). It seems that our U.S. Government is about to implement a similar I.D. system, based on what the Nazis did in WWII, yet improved with all the scientific advances made in the past 60 years (DNA data, retinal scans, digitized fingerfrint scans, electronic/digitally stored data=credit history, firearm ownership, employment history, medical history, criminal background, spending habits, residence(s), etc)!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Regards, Walter Katyn: http://www.usmbooks.com/katyn_massacre.html Papers Please! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif http://www.usmbooks.com/papers_please_cowdery.html
