john
Wish I coulda spent more time getting to know you both better....maybe again next year or?? Brickyard, I finally figured out that sling on Bob's 28....I just had to "back it through" that loop on the buttstock end of the sling and pop it out. Then through the swivel and hooked it up right! (ya had to be there!!) Also, took a look at your profile and realized you're only 3 days older than me! Anyway, looking forward to seeing you again sometime! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Junglewalk, really enjoyed going through the forest with you....great course this year (including the "small details" (like the rice lying around!!) http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Tried to get down to the Walk Saturday but we had some trouble with the wake up call and figured it was too late to get in line when we finally did get there! Sunday had to check a couple things out and bail kinda early so we weren't able to come down to the lower range for a shoot http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif (Looooonnnnggg drive back to Minnesota!!) But will add extra time for next year. If you end up not doing the walk next year we can take a couple time slots and shoot some stuff up!! Looking forward to seeing more of you at upcoming shoots! john http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif
full auto 45
Chopper28, RoadKing, and myself were there Saturday also. After the beer truck ran me down Friday night I had some trouble getting there early myself, the walk was full up by the time we got there. Did talk to Junglewalk for a while Saturday afternoon. Nice WH he's got there. Maybe I'll drag mine down in October to shoot them in the walk. Sorry I missed you John, maybe next time.

I was hoping for an autograph from Frank or even Nick, but no luck. Maybe next time, youi guys could make arun...... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif ...in the jungle.......jw
john
Full Auto 45, I was looking for you! Had a pretty good idea what you look like from your pic (even with that big drum in the way!! But musta missed ya! Gives me an excuse to do it again.......maybe see all you guys next time? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/huh.gif Everytime I go down there it seems to go totally different. No routine here. I usually look for Ammo first thing, but prices were better Sunday afternoon and there was still some left here and there! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif We tried out the Wolf ammo with the new "polymer" (their term, not ours!) coating and it seemed to run great! Also asked the folks at Ammunitionstore if Wolf had changed the powder as it seemed less smoky and left the gun cleaner than the "old" Wolf. They didn't know about that, but I think the powder is cleaner....Anyone else?? Anyway, went home with 11 cases of assorted ammo. At one point we had twenty cases in the back of my Olds Minivan! Took the compressor over a minute to pump up the air bags in the rear to level!! (dropped 9 cases off at a buddy's truck in Brooks so I didn't have to run all the way to Minnesota with a full ton of ammo....only a half!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif Anyway, it was a great time and I can't wait to do it again!! john
full auto 45
The only real thing I got away with this weekend was a FBI case from Greg Fox. He does have the best cases in the States. Great guy to talk to, very knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to the October shoot. Was the Iannamico's there? Didn't see them. Did see and talk to Glen Whittenberger. He is still busy building that new house. But he is alive and well. That's good. I missed the $40 cases that IMA had. I would have picked up a couple. Found one on EvilBay already. Man are people stupid or what. EvilBay carry case We that go to the next shoot should arange to meet there on Saturday around the junglewalk, not real early for us that stay up late.
