blackbearsmatter
Don't worry, I have a SOT and can legally manufacture machine guns. I've been having a hard time locating all the required parts to complete the build. I have found de-milled parts kits, and 80% tubes that accept the original FA bolt (supposedly, I might need confirmation on that), but I can't seem to find barrels for the L2A3/MkIV. More precisely, I am trying to find a barrel that is slightly longer than normal so that it can be threaded to attach a suppressor via a trilug mount. I realize that modification will need to be made to the front of the handguard and the barrel bushing, but I am fine with doing those modifications myself. DINK
I had a custom threaded barrel made by Scott Andrey, but unfortunately he no longer seems to be in business. Too bad, as the work he produced was excellent. I only had to open up the hole in the end of the receiver slightly with a .5" drill bit to allow the threaded portion of the barrel to emerge. I'm not sure how you would manage a three-lug mount.
