Nick Iannamico
I would suggest http://www.photobucket.com I just signed up for their free account and after about 20 seconds I had a picture uploaded and able to post it on the website. It is simple to use, and after your picture is uploaded they actually give you the HTML link to use for showing your image. Just copy and paste it. Comcast has shut me down. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif

Lancer
QUOTE (bigred @ Feb 10 2005, 12:36 AM) but what causes the two tone receiver? Jaron I was told it is a temper line from when it was heat treated. It is not nearly as visible as it appears in the photo. It all depends on light conditions and the angle at which you view the gun. Lancer
QUOTE (PhilOhio @ Feb 10 2005, 01:08 PM) So Lancer, your gun is within about 1,000 serial numbers of mine...maybe early 1943...and you stayed with the original smooth barrel. Do you have the Lyman "L" rear sight? I can't see the military acceptance and inspectors marks. Are any there? You may have another of the guns possibly shipped directly to civilian law enforcement agencies during wartime...which I theorize. According to Frank's book 1928 production ended in Oct 1942. Looking at production totals I surmized that my gun was made in the spring of 1942. I'm no expert on this and will bow to anyone that thinks this is incorrect. It does have the Lyman "L" sight on it and no acceptance or inspector markings. It has a metalic type sticker on the the buttstock indicating that it is the property of the Albany, Ga. P.D. so it would seem to go along with your theory. The receiver and barrel and comp. were parkerized at some point but the trigger frame appears to me to have the original finish. I would like to send it off to PK to have a more original type finish put on the receiver/barrel assembly. I have a finned barrel and an ajd. Lyman sight but am not sure if I should put them on.
