TennesseeTimmy
Yet another Kahr makeover story. No, it’s not a “real” Tommy, but until I hit the lottery, it’s mine and I’ll enjoy it! Here it is just after I got it: After almost 2 years of gathering parts, paperwork, and more than a little dawdling, I finally sent it to Dan Block this summer. Dan worked some of his magic: - Fit '28 lower, modify internals for bolt-hold-open - Replace 3/4" grip mount with 1/2" grip mount - Install / pin GI Cutts compensator on new 10.5" barrel - Replace Kahr rear sight with Lyman adjustable sight - Add EZ Pull springs - Mill receiver for EZ takedown - Square-cut extractor slot - Modify Mag catch to allow use of FA magazines - Detail components: - Mag catch: fill hole, checker, reblue - Fire Control lever: checker, reblue - Buttplate: fit to GI buttstock, reblue - And of course, beautiful Dan Block wood: - Rear grip - Vertical front grip - Horizontal front grip Here’s a few shots of the “finished” product (are we ever really done?): Thanks to Dan as well as others who supplied parts and info to help get me across the goal line: - ThompsonBarrels - Philadelphia Ordnance - Omega Weapons Systems - Northridge International - Keystone Arms - Numrich / Gun Parts Corp. - Doug Richardson - Various sellers on GunBroker and eBay Finally, thanks to David Albert for the forum. The members’ wealth of knowledge about these guns is just amazing – a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about this “hobby”.

prozach
Very nice, looks similar to the work Dan did on my SBR. I didn't do the 1/2" gripmount...not sure if I'll ever cave and do that.
