DINK
I see AIM Surplus is offering Wolf .303 now. Anyone tried it in a Lewis?
DougStump
While I haven't tried the 303, based on other Wolf ammo my Lewis isn't even going to smell it! Very dirty, some lots have mediocre accuracy, inconsistent velocity. Nope, I'm not feeding that to my Lewis.
Ivan
Tried some in the Lewis. Out of ten rounds 6 did not fire although the primer was dented. Tried again and of 6 two went BANG.Firing pin protrusion is good, no trouble with other ammo used. From my observation the primer pocket is deep and the primers not seated completely.Tried the non fired dented rounds in SMLE and all went BANG. Shot up rest of box out of SMLE and they fired and extracted fine. Accuracy seemed OK @ 75 yard range we were using.Verdict is no for use in Lewis, OK for use in a SMLE. Not sure if I would use in a BREN, either F/A or a semi copy
StooperZero
wondered why it was so low. considered getting some for my Bren but, extra low prices scare me sometimes.
DINK
I bought 100 rounds of it, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. I appreciate the responses.
