Steelflood
I thought this deserved it's own topic. I have accumulated 6 cut receivers. They are legit torch cut but otherwise complete. Legit in the sense the required amount of material was removed. What would/could board members use these for? I'm sure there are more uses than I've read or imagined. Thanks y'all
Bayrain
Reciever repairs is one. That's what I've used them for.

TennesseeTaylor95
Well Apex has complete torch cut M1928A1 receiver sets with the nose piece in stock if you're feeling froggy Mad Machinist. They aren't as cheap as their first M1928A1 offerings due to being complete with the threaded nose piece, but that could be a starting point for you if you are looking to go the post sample route with a reweld. You could also make a M1A1 post sample from Apex's complete M1A1 torch cut receiver set.
kilroyjones
A few years back I bought a nose section to use as a thread gauge when I turned a new barrel for my semi Kahr.
Steelflood
Mine came from royal imports, the nose is technically there but would need a full restoration. I do have 1 1928

I can fabricate a replacement but getting the ejector in the right place is somewhat of a pain.....this is gonna be welded into a post sample shooter......would really like to find a section with the ejection port with no nosepiece as I have a decent one to use, will just use the section I replace as filler when I weld them up. I have about 3 M1/M1A1 sets without lowers......and I am looking for them as always..... Edited September 25, 2022 by Mad Machinist
