Re-converting 1927a1 Magazines

Recommended Posts

PK fixed a half a dozen of my mags, 20 rounds and 30. He did it for a nominal charge, you couldn't tell they were ever messed up for the '27, and they run perfectly. As with the rest of the job, all was beautiful and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/hail.gif Talk to PK about repair cost before you buy new. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

I fixed one once. You just need to slide a small piece of brass inside the mag to back up the hole while you weld it up (the weld will not stick to the brass). You don't need fill the hole up completely just the bottom. Then you can reshape the hole and the work is all on the out side of the mag.
