New Book (Forgotten Weapons Reviews TD's Colt Thompson Guide)

Recommended Posts

This is a really good review of the book by Ian, in my opinion. I ordered the book on the strength of it (from Amazon).

Previously I had assumed it would be a highly detailed book just covering minor manufacturing differences. It is that but so much more, giving a lot of really useful information on the different model variations stemming from the original M1921, including the Swedish order and so on.

Anyway, if you have been in two minds about ordering the book i recommend you click on the Forgotten Weapons link above, and then make your mind up.

troll,

Thank you for the post about Ian McCollum's review of my new book on ForgottenWeapons.com. I really like how Ian slowly thumbs through the pages allowing the viewer to see many of the inside pages. There is also a "Look inside" feature on the Amazon.com page.

I appreciate all the kind words and do hope this book is beneficial to all that purchased it. Thus far, all comments have been very positive.

In the past I have watched a lot of Ian McCollum's videos on YouTube, including one on the "The Marines First SMG 1921/28 Thompson Gun". He does some good weapon presentations, but this is his first book review I have seen, and found it interesting. So much so, I’ll add ‘An Amateur's Guide for the Colt's Thompson Submachine Gun’ to my wish list on Amazon.co.uk.

Stay safe

He's done other book reviews. Reviews of "The MAC Man" and "The Uzi Examined" come to mind, and I'd venture there are others.

Be well.

I have been VERY pleased with my purchase of Tom’s latest book. Highly informative and lots of great color photos. Not in the market (yet!) for a Colt Thompson, but when I am, this will be my “go to” source!

Well done Tom!
