Swapped the Bolt! It's RUNNING! (Ejector came loose)

Recommended Posts

So my son and I went back to the range today after we swapped out the bolt. Ran just fine! Two mags that I have didn't want to work because the hole keeping it in place was too big, no worries. We ran several mags through it with various ammo.

Now if you remember, before the bolt swap, it only wanted to run with S&B ammo. We for giggles swapped out the lower. Put a 20 round mag in it, and it jammed. Noticed that the Ejector was sticking out just a hair. We stopped shooting and called it a day.

So, what's the secret? Looks like it should just screw back in? I don't want to scratch up the receiver.

Thanks again oh wise ones!!

When discussing the work to be done to my WH M1, PK told me that ejector indexing is often off on these guns, and needs to be addressed. Sounds like you found an ejector that indexes properly.
