TSMGguy
Pictured is the Egyptian Rasheed rifle I've owned for years, but only recently took to the range for the first time. These were made in the UAR in 1967 & '68, with about 8,000 produced before production switched over to the Egyptian version of the AKM. Estimates are that some 2,000 Rasheeds were imported into the US. I was fortunate to find this one. It has light service handling rash, matching serial numbers, and a perfect bore. The rack number painted on the butt stock reads 146. The khaki web sling is Egyptian. Functioning of this rifle was perfect in 60 rounds of Russian 7.62x39mm Golden Tiger ammo. The ten round magazine is loaded through the top of the rifle using single rounds or an SKS stripper clip. Accuracy is excellent. Collectors call these carbines, but at over nine pounds weight and 40 inches in length, it seems like a full sized rifle.
emmagee1917
The 8MM Hakim rifle was almost 48 inches and over 10 pounds ( 10.3-ish ) , so you could call this a carbine .Chris
