The Thompson serial 9XX was registered by the manufacturer on 6/12/79. This was followed by 2 tax-exempt transfers on 6/21/79 and 8/04/80. The one tax paid transfer to an individual was sent in on 8/12/80 with approval on 8/27/80. So it is possible to complete transfers in 2 weeks.
