M1's for sales, does anyone know Minigun3 ?

I was browsing throught Sturmgewehr this morning and found a few M1's (and 28's) for sale by Minigun 3 out of Media PA.

I noticed the pictures did not always match the descriptions and one of the comments was; who put the markings on them. His answer was: I have no idea about the stamps, Obviously WH wasn't around to make Govt guns, but the gun looks like new

 

Before I pursue, I thought I would ask here first. Does anyone know him? Are the Thompsons correct? Do the markings look strange?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thompson 6 has an interesting note in the description stating both the receiver and frame are matching with serial number 787065. Given the high SN, it should be a late production gun most likely produced after Savage supposedly stopped marking their frames in January of 1943. Would have been nice if the seller included a picture of the frame's SN.

If I was looking for a good M1A1, I would be looking at the one for $18.5k. Seems like a fair price for the gun.

Even the '28 for $22.5K is nice.

I'm no Thompson expert, so I'll let other more experienced members chime in on those guns and their markings.

 

However, I bought a C&R M3 Grease gun from Minigun 3 in 2017.

 

He is/was an SOT. When I got the gun, it was in better condition than he described and he was professional and easy to work with. PM me for more details.

The markings on the West Hurley are clearly fake. First of all of course a West

Hurley gun would never have the WW2 marks. The FJA. Is hand stamped and not

in line and it's not CEC its GEG - kind of an obvious mistake. Whoever did this I am

sure did it for vanity reasons - wanting the gun to have a WW2 look. I don't know that this

affects the value at all.

I've known the man for forty or more years and often saw him at shows and other venues over that time, and in the last few years bought one of the rare MGs in his collection. He is selling off his MG collection as he feels it is time to downsize the collection due to aging and the usual concerns that go along. He will treat you right. FWIW
