john
One of these two will win. If you don't vote you will have wasted your vote. You can vote for Nader but in my opinion you won't make any statements to anyone, so you will have wasted your vote. Look at the records of Kerry and Bush. Look at what they've done. This should give you the clearest idea of what you need to do. We need you to vote for Bush. ANd there are many groups other than Gun owners who NEED YOU to vote for Bush. And if it'll help, I'll say PLEASE???? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif john

TD.
John Jr, Hey, I happen to like the old style spring http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Unfortunately, it is not that simple. For some reason, there are gun owners and gun enthusiasts that will vote for John Kerry in this election. I just wish someone who would (will) do such a thing, would stand up and tell the rest of us why. I suspect it has to do with personal issues that have a great importance in their lives. Given the small number shown in this poll, I guess this is to be expected. I personally support everyone's right to vote. I only ask that if your support for Kerry is based on a real belief that weapon ownership will be safer or just as safe with Kerry as has been with President Bush, please explain the basis of your convictions. Thanks,
LIONHART
From the NRA. NRA AND BRADY CAMPAIGN AGREE ON ONE THING: JOHN KERRY IS ANTI-GUN On October 1, in a true testament to his anti-gun record, Senator John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) earned an endorsement from the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (formerly Handgun Control, Inc.). For once, the Brady Campaign and NRA are in total agreement--John Kerry is the most anti-gun presidential nominee in history! "If there was any doubt about John Kerry's true position on the Second Amendment, his endorsement from the Brady Campaign should make it clear," said NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox. "John Kerry stands with other gun banners like Dianne Feinstein, Ted Kennedy, and Chuck Schumer--each one commended by the Brady Campaign for their anti-gun records. "It's shameless and dishonest to spend your entire career voting against gun owners, then try to repackage yourself for a presidential bid," added Cox. "A true hunter and sportsman would never seek and accept the endorsement of groups who advocate banning guns, banning ammunition, banning hunting, and licensing and registering law-abiding gun owners." The following are just a few of Kerry's votes against America's sportsmen and gun owners: * Kerry voted to ban most center-fire rifle ammunition, including many common rounds used by hunters and target shooters (Vote No. 28, March 2, 2004). * Kerry co-sponsored current legislation to ban all semi-automatic shotguns and detachable-magazine semi-automatic rifles, a gigantic step toward bringing Australian-style gun control to the U.S. (Signed on as co-sponsor of S. 1431 on Nov. 21, 2003). * Kerry voted to hold the highly regulated American firearm industry legally responsible for the illegal acts of violent criminals (Vote No. 24, March 2, 2004; Vote No. 25, March 2, 2004). * Kerry says, "I think you ought to tax all ammunition more, personally, I think you ought to tax guns." (CNN "Late Edition," Nov. 7, 1993). * Kerry has a 100% rating from gun-control groups, and is called "a hero" by anti-hunting extremists such as PETA. "Kerry's numerous anti-gun votes present a red flag for hunters and sportsmen, but this savvy voting bloc will not be fooled by election-year campaign tactics," concluded Cox. Mario Scarpino
All, If you remember back a few months ago, I stated I was now a single issue voter (pro Second Amendment). I know many of you stated similar feelings. I also said that if Bush signed an extension of the AW ban, I would most likely write in somebody (Ann Coulter). Well, Bush knew the score and he played it right concerning the AW ban. Thank God for Tom Delay and a few others!!! Not only do we have to think about kerry, but we must keep control of congress, especially the House. My guess if kerry gets elected and the Senate and the House remain Republican, we would most likely not see any new gun control bills up for vote. I would hope that Delay would do a "Cheney" on kerry and tell him to "go F... yourself" concerning gun control issues. If kerry gets elected and the whacko liberals control either house, we may have a fight for our guns and ammo in the future. So we all must know where our congressmen and senators stand on the Second Amendment. This is absolutely critical. I know I'm preaching to the choir, sorry about that. I liked how kerry made the statment towards the end of the second debate, that denying a women an abortion would be denying them their "Constitutional Right"!!!! That stupid bastard!!! I guess the liberal version of the Constitution has that as the Second Amendment (and deleted the right to keep and bear arms!!) I did not hear one of the "great news people" pick this up and discuss it. Of course, they think kerry is actually "correct" with his lie! Kerry admitted he was a lawyer during the debate. Where the hell did this idiot go to law school???? What an absolute loser!! I will be voting for W!!!!!

Arthur Fliegenheimer
Bush 43 was stuck with cleaning up his father's mess in Iraq. Although W. inherited the family gene of poor extemporaneous speaking and non existent syntax, he is a Conservative, and his wife does indeed seem to be his better half. But Bo Gritz? Isn't that the ex Green Beret who believes the Vietnamese are still holding live POW's? That guy is a little over ripe. As far as the idea that the ones who voted for Kerry are the same ones preferring the "old style" spring, that theory is invalidated since traditionalists would never vote for Kerry. Merry Ploughboy
I don't regard myself as much voting For Bush as voting Against Kerry. American politics requires those who aspire to office, regardless of how noble their intent, to pander to the public, who I believe it was Boss Tweed said, is an ass. MHO. Sgt
I can't stand Kerry. You know how you know he's lying? His lips are moving. I may not agree with everything that Bush does, but he seems very sincere in his beliefs and strong on defense. Kerry is the type to create administrative show, without substance. At least, that is my gut reaction, for what its worth. By the way, I don't deny others the right to choose a different path. Afterall, freedom to vote is what its all about anyways. However, be aware of the consequences. I believe that both camps would agree, that a vote for Kerry is a vote for more gun restrictions.
