MG08
Looking at a PreMay dealer Sample 1928A1. I am pretty familiar with them, and think I asked most of the right questions..... gun is matching upper/ lower. Will get the SN ( SN is S- 209930) Has Cutts, Finned barrel appears to be original, match marked and "P" proofed. Lyman adjustable sight. Waiting on better photos but the finish is described as "blued". Looks like Dulite, but could be actually blued over a sandblast too. markings are described as crisp, photos should give a better idea. Will post photos when I get them. So - thoughts on value / Price ? In the old days, the rule of thumb was a PreMay sample was about half of a transferable gun in the same shape. Not sure if that is still true. EDIT - got photos but I am challenged to get them posted here - Looks like it was refinished as the finish is not worn enough to be original. Looks like a good job of refinishing, sort of a dark grey / black oxide finish. Does not look like any sanding blasting, or pitting on the gun....... So ideas on price ? http://photos.imageevent.com/blinde/weponscollection/websize/20141202_185740.jpghttp://photos.imageevent.com/blinde/weponscollection/websize/20141202_185702.jpg Edited January 20, 2015 by MG08

Bob
Pretty much what has been the trend, 50% is pretty close. That one looks like a buddies gun he has for sale. http://www.machinegunpriceguide.com/html/us_subguns_13.html From what I've recently on nice transferable Savage 28's, the chart is pretty close, $12-14k for a pre-sample would not be out of the ball park for one in that condition.
