I plan Not to Refinish But Maybe Get Some Used Wood in Better Condition

I like it. The character sets it apart. Oil the wood a little and you might not even want to change that.

Kudos to you for not refinishing it! The wear and patina are part of it's history. It looks like maybe it spent time in the  Pacific theater. Can only imagine. Very cool!
