I really like the M1 carbines, so far I have nine of them and I thought I would start with the latest addition.

This is a quite nice, all matching original parts, early Rock-Ola Carbine.

Stgw. 57,

Nice! Looks original from the photos you shared. Do you have any group photos of all your M1 Carbines?

Thanks!

Nope, not yet. But I will try to take a pic with all of them next week!

EDIT:

Didn't take me so long....

Besides the two M1A1 Inlands, another very early Inland serial# 12XXX, but it's a mixmaster.....then a Saginaw SG, a Saginaw S'G', a QHMC, a Rock-Ola, a Winchester and an Underwood.

I missed an all correct parts early Irwin Pedersen a few weeks back, because after I ahd made my choice, I was to stupid and to lazy to carry on looking through a selelrs pile of carbines. At least it was a good friend who found it after I had made my deal.

Underwood battlefield leftover, but this one is a mixmaster, quite a mish-mash.

An all original parts early Winchester M1 Carbine. The stock is an I-cut that was changed into a low wood, it's strange but the only markings I found on the wood is a "W" in the well for the sling. Maybe the inspectors mark and the eskutcheon have been worn off.

Carbines are fun shooters. Got my first one in 1955.

You have me beat, I only have 5 Carbines and mine are a bit bunched up - 2 M1A1 Inlands (1 with a repro stock I use for reenacting), an early 1 mil & late 5 mil Winchesters and a Nat'l Postal Meter. Both Winchesters are from the old DCM back in the 60s.

I've had most of the other makes over the years, to include an M2 40 yrs ago, but never kept them.

My newest addition. a Standard Products M1 Carbine. I got it from a friends father who was a member of the Résistance / Militia and fought with the GI´s in 1944/1945.

It is a low serial number, early production and all the parts seem to be original, except for the type 2 sight which must have been fitted by an US Army armourer before the old geezer got it.
