Thanks for sharing those links. The legal ramifications if NY wins could set a devastating precedent that could be used against other organizations, left or right.

This is the outcome to hope for -

"If the NRA is run by corrupt self-dealers, it’s proper to toss them out and reform the entity’s oversight procedures to ensure it doesn’t happen again. It’s also proper to require those individuals to give back any money improperly taken. That would be justice, and it would be something the NRA’s members themselves would likely welcome."

Appears that the liberal mainstream "fake news" media isn't as biased as Faux would have you believe

Are you referring to FNC as "Faux?" From the WaPo editorial:

But dissolution? We have been vehement critics of the NRA — of its dangerous stances against any sensible gun-safety measures and its heavy-handed tactics — and we would not mourn its demise. But other nonprofits that have had corrupt leadership were given the chance to clean house and institute reforms. A 148-year-old organization with, it claims, 5 million members would seem to merit a similar second chance.

Why would anyone conclude from the above passage that mainstream media could possibly be biased against the 2nd Amendment, the NRA, firearms?

Now compare to this exchange on Fox News "The Five."

JUAN WILLIAMS:

I think that it is the case that NRA voters, people who were voting simply on the issue of gun rights, they were going to vote for President Trump or Senate candidates who are Republican anyway. So, I don't think it changed those votes.

In fact, you know, I think that this story may be being framed in the wrong way. Because I remember that the real fight, the real story here was NRA members being upset that they were being ripped off by their own leadership.

DANA PERINO:

Yes

JUAN WILLIAMS:

So, it's kind of an intramural issue that you had, remember last year Ollie North was forced out when he said it's time for us to do a financial review of how money is being spent here. In the New York suit, the allegation is that you get people at the top of the NRA draining $64 million in three years --

DANA PERINO:

Yes.

JUAN WILLIAMS:

-- from this nonprofit organization. And by the way, just keep in mind, this is the same attorney general's office, not the same attorney general, but the same office that went after the Trump foundation for financial irregularities, money being used for personal benefit and the Trump foundation had to close.

How is FNC shying away from problems inside the NRA? You have liberal Juan Williams and Bush family career apologist Dana Perino agreeing on the issues. But even Williams didn't say on air he would not "mourn the demise of the NRA."

The NY AG starts a lawsuit to destroy the NRA. Now we have NRA members cheering them on? Well, good for you. Go ahead and invite NY AG into our house. See how that turns out.

It's up to NRA members to clean our own house.

They can't, there is no way as the NRA is currently setup by LaPeirre for him to be removed . The board of directors does not have the will or the power to do so.

Welcome news for the embattled NRA leadership.

Tangible results from 45's federal judge appointees that have manged to penetrate the historically politically left comprised 9th Circuit.

"The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit blocked a ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines on Friday. In a sublime exercise of judicial trolling, the majority opinion, penned by an appointee of President Donald Trump, cites a recent statement by Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) in support of the constitutional right to bear arms."

Some people, especially in communities of color, do not trust law enforcement and are less likely — over 40% less likely, according to one study — to call 911 even during emergencies.

See 163 Cong. Rec. S1257-58 (daily ed. Feb. 16, 2017) (statement of Sen. Kamala Harris) (discussing a study showing that certain ethnic groups are over 40% less likely to call 911 in an emergency)

BREAKING NEWS:
@NRA scores a HUGE win in California today. The 9th Circuit, led by a Trump-appointed judge, rules that ban on magazines with more than 10 rounds is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

This case will have repercussions nationwide.
