stratventures
CORRECTION: I appreciate the response, but need to correct my description. What I meant by "Non marked" was not that there were no markings at all, but is marked without saying "18". It reads as follows: FOR SHOT CARTRIDGES PAT-AUG.24.1920 AUG 24.1920 - JAN.11.1921 The other mag that has the "18" reads as follows: Patented -Aug.-24-1920 FOR 18 SHOT CARTRIDGES Aug.-24-1920-Jan.-11-1921 I may have forgotten a period or dash, but that is the basic description. The pouch does read "MILLS". Sorry but do not have "digital" camera to take pictures. Wanting to know the current value of a mint commercial Dbl Shot Mag Pouch with one really nice marked 18 shot mag and a second non marked 18 shot mag. I understand that the Non-marked 18 shot mag is very rare and not often seen. Colt mag's Trying to figure out what each is worth. Additional help for value for a 50 rd drum, marked New York, ?third var, "L Drum", high-end condition. Any help would be appreciated. leid
Hi, If you would post pictures, we can be of more help. As far as your "unmarked shot mag", the mags intended for the 1923 Thompson chambered for the .45 Remington-Thompson cartridge had no markings on the face and were the same size as the shot mags. I would think that is what you have. The only difference between the two mags is the markings/instructions on the front. The pouch should be MILLS.
