Grey Crow
Went to the local car shoot this evening, they started the shoot with a civil war cannon placing a ball through the door and out the other side. From there it was WAR, I was amazed at the amount of FA's in this area. Only saw 2 Thompson's, one ran like a top the other sputtered quite a bit. The one that was acting up was owned by an individual that probably shouldn't have it. He kind of placed it roughly on to of the pile of other FA weapons. Hard enough the hear metal strike from 20 feet away. Anyway, it was a great time and talk about a van full of holes. Like the old Thompson report, a mouse could not have survived. There were 2 BAR's, a few water cooled, and some silencer models in 9mm, about 6 Uzi's, some AK's, M16's, and quite a selection of other goodies... I have no idea of the makes or models other than the Thompson's, basically that's all I care about anyway. In comparison to the water cooled, the Thompson's were fairly quiet. The guy that had the silenced guns also shot an exploding target with his BAR, dang talk about loud.... There were approximately 50 shooters on the line. Some of these guys shot more ammo than I could afford in a year. I gotta get a different job!
John Jr
No pictures??? No Video?????? Shame shame!!! I wish we had something like that around here. The only way I will get to shoot a van is to buy one... (anyone know where I can get one cheap?? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif )
Grey Crow
http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif No i didn't get any pics. Next year for sure though. I'm going early so I CAN register to shoot. Near the end it started to rain, dang I still have lungs and nostrals full of gunpowder. They have the shoot every year the last Monday in June. Not too shabby for a hick town like Williamsport, PA!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif But then guns are a big industry in PA. Sgt
Jack-- You are lucky to be near a good population of MG enthusiasts. The cannon sounded like a awsome display.
