Would have been used to transport a TSMG back and forth for bank protection. gijive Posted April 27, 2005 Report Share Posted April 27, 2005 The original Thompson collector's book by Roger Cox mentions an "Alabama Payroll Case." Any manner of professional or home made carrying devices were made during the 1920's and 1930's for Thompson submachine guns. It is very possible that a banking institution could have had a case made for carrying a Thompson. Many banks purchased them in the 1920's.
