Hossbreed45
Excuse my ignorance but I'm still kinda new to all this Thompson stuff. Anyway, what are the contour differences between the current semi-auto TM1 16.5" barrel and the TSMG M1/M1A 10.5" barrel that would require a different forend? Can anyone post a pic of the two barrels side by side? Still getting my ducks in a row here before I SBR my TM1...
Oldtrooper
Yes ... A new fore end will be required unless using a vertical grip ...
deerslayer
Fins or no fins.. contour is the same. So a short barrel on a long horizonal grip has a gap on the sides of the barrel to wood fit, but it will work.. Long barrel on a short grip does not fit into the wood. Hossbreed45
Thanks Dan. I can now understand why you would want to replace the horizontal forend when the SMG barrel is installed.
