has anyone seen one of these for sale? curious on price range

i held one today at my gunsmiths house...i didnt know how special it was until i got home and checked it out...amazing quality..all milled..heavy like a thompson......mags look remarkably like a Ingram m6 from the top...wonder if that was his inspiration...so similar it almost has to be...

RIA recently auctioned one in 7.62x25. Several have sold through the auction houses in the last year.

MP34s in the NFRTR can be more commonly in 9 Mauser or 9 Steyr, both comsiderably longer than standard 9 Para. So if you find one for sale make sure you know what claiber it is in. The longer caliber round requores longer mags and so the guns have longer mag wells. 9 Para will function in these longer mags but vintage 9 Para barrels are very scarce to impossible to find. Repros are being made in whatever caliber you might want approproiafe to the gun.

Some MP34s in the registry are actually MP30s so that’s another issue about which to be informed. Some MP34s are registered as MP30s as well.

Beautiful smgs, and smooth shooters. Prices are above $15k now. FWIW

i see parts are available at apex for very low prices.......this is one of those guns ill keep an eye out for in the future...

Indeed, they are nice guns. I started by buying a gunners kit years before I found a gun. Knew I wanted one for a long time, but couldn't make the right connection. MP30 version currently in 9mm luger with a spare barrel and one other caliber that I forgot. Caliber change is made by unscrewing the barrel with the wrench in the gunners kit and inserting a new barrel....probably a minute and a half. I might have a spare gun cover, maybe you can start with that until you find a gun for sale? I still know of at least 150 guns sitting out of country that are future parts kits.

where is the market on these guns for one in nice condition...lets assume a dewat/refinished/replacement 9mm barrel setup

ive seen an auction where one was $25k, but auctions can often be nutty prices...also found one on sturm early 2018 asking $15,000..

yea ive found mags in a few places...$25-45........you need to determine if its a wide mag well or 9mm para mag well on the gun before you buy mags....id have to study the pics better......ive asked for internal and detailed pics...right now ive just got over all pics...they put more effort into showing me the stock than the details on the gun itself...25% of the pics are of the stock and butt plate....i guess thats one of the most important parts on this gun :)

as the price is more than im willing to pay(whether its worth that much or not idk)....im just putzing with the idea and learning what i can about the gun

Hi All,

From what I understand the MP-30 for the 9mm Export and other long 9mm was available in 45 ACP? I've heard this but never found the bolt. The 45's do fit out the ejection port.

It is a very nice old gun.

Enjoy the hunt,

I picked up a non gun mp34 this week. About 7.25” of receiver removed under the top cover and the barrel demilled. Nice waffenamts though.

what ya know. found the exact one that I purchased on IMA's website. Appears that it sold there 15 years or so ago. Same serial number on the stock and bayonet caught my attention.

did you pay the same price? now you know exactly how much the seller made off you

Paid less although it didn’t come with the gunner pouch. Seller claims they didn’t buy it from IMA but purchased from someone else 8 years ago

paid less? amazing....might have value as a parts kit to someone restoring one/dewat

I did pay less than the price listed in that IMA link that I posted prior but I have since found out that IMA used this MP34 as 'stock photos' in that link. IMA actually sold this one earlier. The link for the IMA listing for the one I now have is no longer searchable on their website but the url for their listing can still be found here:

I did pay a bit more than what it is listed for in this link. However, that is an old sale and I am quite happy with what I received for the $
