madmac22
Guys, I want to sell my 50rnd drum and was wondering what it might be worth. It says Auto-Ordnance Corp. on the one side. On the other it says Magazine type "L" blah blah blah for 1928 Model. It is in excellent condition. Any ideas on what it might be worth? Thanks. Walter63a
Mike, take some very clear photos of the front, back and inside of the drum and post them here. Then I'm sure we can help you with identification and price range. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Regards, Walter
madmac22
Walter, I have some pictures but how do I add them to a post? Do they have to be at a web address or can I attach them directly to a post? Thanks Mike
Walter63a
Mike, it is necessary to post the pics at a web address (usually your ISP provides a certain amount of free space) or use the FTP Server on this site. However, you need to be a sponsor to use this service (this site's FTP Server). http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Regards, Walter

Walter63a
Mike, it is a typical new West Hurley/ Kahr Drum. That means that your drum is probably worth between $250-$500, or whatever is offered. That is, if you are lucky. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif I say this because the high-cap magazine ban is about to expire, meaning the market will soon be flooded with new production duplicates of what you have. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Why do you want to sell it? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif Most knowledgable people, i.e. people who frequent this board, will be waiting until after September 13th. (date the ban expires), after which I believe the new production drums will be selling for about $200-$250. This is JMHO, and I hope other regulars will chime in also! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Regards, Walter
