Is This The Same Guy As On Gunbroker?

Recommended Posts

I saw this today as well. I believe, if the seller is dilligent in demilling it as he claims he will for a sale to the states, this should be OK. But damned expensive considering all of the other parts that are ruined! I think it would not be worth 1/4 of the opening bid in a cut up condition.

Ebay is so fun to watch... just look for the 21 spring/bufffer pilot thats out there......

Guys,

According to the add, this magnificent piece of American history can be shipped "intact" to an address in France! So our politicians in America made it possible for the whimpy, gutless french to own a firearm that a law abiding citizen of the United States (Second Amendment rights and all that) can not ever have a chance at owning. I think we need to let out elected officials know this as well!!! Our politicians have empowered the FRENCH and absolutely weakened America. Hey, if the current FA Thompson by Kahr is being manufactured, it can be EXPORTED, correct. I guess the gutless french will be buying all they can so they can give them to the next country that invades them. I bet we have enough firepower at this forum to take France. Of course once we took them, we couldn't bring the Thompsons home. So I guess Franch is off the hook as far as being invaded by us. Got to protect france at all costs. WHAT A JOKE! I'm WHIZZED to the max!

Uh yes and know... France has different dewatting rules is all... They have to demill it by welding the barrel closed and possibly the bolt too... In England I believe it is that way also.... It's in the good ole USofA that we have to cut up the receivers. So they are just like us, only I don't think that can own any operating f/a period, unlike here...

I think if you read description it even talks of it being welded shut... And just what do our politicians have to do with French gun laws btw?

JustMe,

As others in this thread have stated, stay away from this deal, it can only be trouble. Why? Because our politicians passed laws that now prohibit the importation of "American made" firearms and parts of this type. The ATF (or whoever) defines the "receiver" as the "firearm" with respect to the Thompson. Note that in france the receiver is alive and well. I know it might be a stretch (I realize the firearm is still demilled to their standards), but the irony of France owning a Thompson (live receiver as defined by our stupid laws) is a real headbanger!! I did not state that our politicians had anything to do with french guns laws, other than the irony implied in my first message. It bothers me when a country like france "appears" to have more freedom with respect to Second Amemndment issues than America. At the very least, we would all like the opportunity to purchase this firearm as a "parts kit" and CAN NOT EVEN DO THAT!! WE HAVE TO STRAIGHTEN THIS CRAP OUT!!!!

Mike,

A Kahr TSMG would be the perfect weapon for the French since it is best suited for dropping once when surrendering, rather than relying on it for firing.

Been there knew that.....

btaim Mario my post was just to make sure you understood the French had the same privileges as you as far a non-working machine guns... And that they don't have the same privilege as far as working f/a weapons. As far as shipping guns to France when we can't have them.... That is also just a little off.... We can sell f/a weapons to military and police, as is just the case since 1986 in this country.... I guess I'm trying to say, politely, that your statements are false.

The big picture is we can not even import American made "parts" for certain types of firearms. I don't think this is a false statement. I don't care for the french so I picked on them, it could just as well of been another socialists country in europe.

What is stopping france from buying Kahr FA Thompsons and selling them to our enemies? We know they found "stuff" in Irag that came from france.

I think the following is a true statement: American citizens can not legally obtain newly manufactured FA Tommies (Kahr), but our enemies can (obviously through devious means).

If I am wrong about any of this, please correct me.
