The1930sRust
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all bloviate about our favorite Christmas gift. Mine was living past two days of blizzard on I-24 and getting to come home for the Holiday. Whew! Ice and rear wheel drive police cars just don't mix! But I kept her on the road... Dad bought me a Springfield Armory Model 1911-A1 stainless with wood grips which is pretty boss. I was not expecting such an extravagant gift! What about ya'll? Scoobie1
My mom bought me 2 gun cases for my Enfield's. Dad told her it was VERY mean to put empty gun cases under the tree, its misleading. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Tman
Went to a local antique mall and found a 30 rd. mag bag. Great condition, marked Hoosier 1942. And you can't beat the price of $22.50. Merry Christmas to me!!
LIONHART
I was really hoping that the GRINCH would sneak into everyone's home this year and steal their Tommy Guns for me...Just didn't happen... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif
snipershot1944
One of the joys of Christmas-a wife who buys you a book on Stens and an book on MP-44s, wraps them up and puts them under the tree. It's the gift that keeps giving all year long. Thanks CB. Sniper

snipershot1944
Ron-is it a 945 code with hardwood stock, or a dot with laminate stock? If hardwood, check it over closely to see if it is finger jointed. Some were three piece stocks, some only two. Mine is a three piece stock. Either way, nice find. Those little rifles were almost sporterized out of existence in the 50's and 60's. BTW, along with the books, the wife also bought me a copy of Enemy at the Gate (the sniper movie) on DVD. Gotta love that girl! Sniper

Norm
Chris, What did I get for Christmas.... Well, I got the same winter storm you got stuck in (here in Memphis, TN.) http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif I got to slide into a fire hydrant with my car (but I don't consider that a present.) I got a letter from Homeland Security stating that my fiancée's visa application has been approved and sent to the US Embassy in Ukraine. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif PK emailed me and said my Broadhead Armory full-auto pin gun functions (but still needs to be finished.) http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif All in all, a great Christmas (except for the fire hydrant thing! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif ) Norm

marks
Best gift was spending the day with family topped by a prime rib dinner. But also cool was the gift of 2 miniature ammo cans manuf by Lakeside Machine. Patterned after the 30 cal cans used on a 1919, I can get 300 rds of 22lr in each can and they complement the Norrell FA 10/22 quite nicely. http://www.cascadeaccess.com/~marks/ammo_cans.jpg

sportster
I guess Christmas was good as usual. I got a S&W 500 with 4" barrel. I am taking it out in a couple of hours for a test drive. It sure looks BIG. I will find out if it is as much fun as my .454 Casull. I am shooting the 440gr. Hard Cast rounds. Merry Christmas everyone. full auto 45
QUOTE `3 Stooges` dvd collection That's what I wanted. I did get a remote starter for the new truck, now that it has to sit outside during the winter. New House and the garage is not big enough for my truck and Harley and the wifes new TrailBlazer. That new garage will be next year. I did get the paperwork started for my suppressor on my P22. Sure do love that 1918A3 Hawkeye Joe. Marks, I saw two cans just like that at the Richmond Indiana show last week, along with the Tippman 1919 semi auto of course. But it was a perfect replica in minature.
