W T S: W H M1

Recommended Posts

I'm placing this on here first before I do on Subguns or Sturm. Anyone want a very nice, flawlessly running WH M1 Thompson( M1 Bolt, GI Internals, bought in '91, made in 85, one owner) Please contact me.. It is on a Form 3 in South Carolina, as of now, so only one transfer. I am getting a different one and I just don't need two. Price is 13,000.00 If you are in SC you can see and shoot it on Nov. 15 at the Dealer's MG shoot in Columbia.

A price revision might be a good idea.

I'll wait John, I have nearly that much in it with sales tax and transfers. I'm not trying to gouge any one just get a profit.

Autoweapons has been selling theirs for $14,900.00

but I wouldn't take 8K for it.. and neither would you..

I'm real too http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Autoweapons has been sitting on the WH M1 TSMGs for months. They seem to have the wherewithall to be able to hold on to high priced inventory for extended periods of time. Most individuals (and most companies for that matter) do not have the wherewithall or patience to practice the Autoweapons business paradigm.

I'm with Hawkeye_Joe. If one isn't in any particular hurry to sell something, then why not hold out for the price one thinks the item is worth and/or the amount one wants? I've been in the same position before, offering a firearm for a fair price and turning down a series of lowball offers for six months until I finally received my asking price. To some degree, this is to be expected in a market where the trading is very thin.

I thought so too but I contacted them trying to lowball one of them and I was told that they had sold five at that price since Jan. There is no WH M1 there now so even if they were snowing me .. they sold the last one that was listed.

As I said , I should be allowed to make a reasonable profit without being chastised for it. Also I'm $1900.00 under their price.

Thanks catnipman....

I know! I knew you wouldn't, but it never hurts to ask!

I don't blame you for trying to make a profit, more power to you. Happy shootin'

Hawkeye Joe,

I do hope you get your asking price. If your picture is anywhere near accurate (and usually gun pictures are worse than the real thing), you have a primo M1. Those being offered at a lower price are undoubtably being sold out of a need to sell fast or the gun is not in as nice shape as yours.
