Identify a barrel

Recommended Posts

I bought a Thompson barrel this weekend and need help identifying it. I do not think a pciture would help. From a distance it looks military except for the bluing. It is a blued, finned barrel with no military markings. It is threaded on both ends but no slot for a compensater. Threads look just like my spare finned military barrels. It is about a 1/8 to 1/4 inch longer than my spare miltary barrels. The difference is the finns are more rounded than the military fins but about the same width. The roundness is on the front side of the finn more than the back. Is this a Numrich or Auto Ord(West Hurley) barrel. It is not a colt as the finns are to thick. No marking at all. One more thing. The grooves in the barrel look different than the military barrels I have. More noticeable. Any ideas???

Military barrels were blued, but this sounds like an NAC; I'd have to look at the small details to be sure.
