Grease Gunner
Greetings All,A Morphy Auction today had two 1921s sold. The one that was described as refinished fetched 30k incl buyer 20%.The original 1921 got $54,000. I think that's encouraging.Maybe prices are on the rise. As an aside, two commercial M2s, a nice plainfield with telescoping stock was $6,600and a universal enforcer 9" barrel (no stock) was $6,000. I would take the plainfield GI compatibleany day. There were 6 MP40's, one grease gun $22,800, Edited April 24, 2019 by Grease Gunner

83Baron
Couldnt believe the one haenel mp40 brought 37.5k before BP, while the Mg42 was only about 40k. A far cry from the rock island Mg42 at about 70k a year ago!

johnsonlmg41
Ditto Bug, 27,675 is pretty high for a hungarian AK sear gun IMO. The one Thompson doesn't look like it sold. The MG42 ended up at 50K on a $300 tripod. Refinished gun, I think that was a fairly high price. Don't recall what you got for 70K, but that's significantly above the average if there is one? Matching Haenel MP40 $27,675 The BAR's were average at best and both went over 30K with premiums. All these numbers are off Morphys website with premiums.Good day to be an auctioneer! Orion
Is the on sight cash price 20%, I saw 25% plus if you live in PA. add 6% sales tax. Concerning the one BAR that would make it $33,125 if my math is correct.

Just curious, why do you think AK was too cheap? Bob DBecause it was a sear not receiver. The sear is permanently married to the receiver and can not be moved to another host. That would require drilling a new sear pin hole which would, in effect, create two unregistered MGs. It is a nice looking setup.
