I found this after a google search: http://www.nfatoys.com/tsmg/tcn/2002/apr/apr02p4.htm The "caps" that make this model work are virtually impossible to obtain here in the United States. In fact, I have yet to find an importer who has them in stock or is willing to go to the trouble to import them. As neither the Japanese postal service nor the United States postal service will accept these (caps) for shipment, I have assumed because of their "explosive nature", they must be transported by other means. While they are relatively easily located for sale in Japan, purchasing them and getting them imported into the US proved to be a major challenge. I do not speak Japanese and my computer does not have a Japanese character set. I found one Japanese website of a model gun store where these caps were clearly being offered for sale. It was very frustrating to be able to see them and not be able to purchase them. This store clearly accepted all the major credit cards. I do not have a picture of the actual caps themselves. They are NOT similar to the caps we used in toy guns in years past. ----------------------------------- Do you have any of the blanks? Any pictures of the blanks? And Yes, unfourtunately the caps are next to imposible to get in the USA unless you know who to contact. And I have had a hard time obtaining them for my modelguns, as I "shoot" them regularly! I have a blast with my MGC (Model Gun Corporation) 1921 Thompson. Now, Blake is in the UK, so he can get the caps legally with no problems. Blake, you might try an ebay seller "12 monkeys" he usually has plenty of modelguns and he is in the UK. or try www.btinternet.com/~modelguns.uk/smg.htm also, located in the UK. mp40 Posted September 1, 2003 Report Share Posted September 1, 2003 Hi Whiskey Brother, the caps are comprised of a soft very flexable plastic with a red phosphorus composition filler that is injected into the cap bodies in a slury...The cap body is 5 to 7mm in diameter. The cap body is usually used for a gas seal. I really don't think that a shot gun primer would work. However, a small or large primer was suggested to me by a freind.
