Guest hardrede
OK the poster are going to be AT LEAST $12 per at MY cost. That means I have to buy 500 to get that deal. I need some kind of feedback as to how many people will want them. I'm going to have to sell them at $19.50 plus S+H. Let me know what you guys think, ok??? The printer also wants to put BOTH guns on one pic, or just the one gun 7580. Let me know what the preferences are and I'll make the call on the photo. Remember, there is an FBI hardcase and one "C" drum and one "L" drum. I could put the gun on the case with the drum inside. And, the posters are going to be 2'x3' and in landscape, so it will be "life-size!!!" Please feel free to email me at hardrede@msn.com or post here with your opinions. Remember, ALL opinions count, YOU are the consumer!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Walter63a
Hardrede, I must have missed something. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif What does Svdm refer to? It seems that the poster in question is to feature one or two Colt Tsmg's, FBI hardcase with C & L drums. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif What is to be in the background? I would probably be interested. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Best Regards, Walter

Guest hardrede
Ok, both guns, right???? And you want the FBI case, drums and anything else as far as accessories. Got that!! Now, background. I'm thinking reddish color, (Yeah I know, SVDM and all!!) But I think I need more ideas as to what color would bring out the guns details better. Would it look better if they were on a stand, or one on the FBI case and the other in the foreground??? Give me some ideas as to how YOU want them to look. Thanks, Randall Ellsworth

full auto 45
I would say with a brick background. Drums and the guns, maybe one sitting on a case. Not to "artsy fartsy" with the Old English lettering though. To hard to read. (ok I changed it from "faggy")
colt21a
sorry to say it you will have to make the investment first of setting everything up,and having them printed, then for sale.when i did the al capone book,i did not have the luxury of pre-order's i printed off 1,000 copies....it took a few years to sell them all off.now 12 years later, out of print.and none to be found..........{ a collector item for capone fan's} and with only 500 of these available you will sell out of them, you won't become rich.but will have some fun with it..........and a host of places to sell them to,all gangster related restaurants web-sites,club's.......and dealer's and collector's............it's endless........if you market it right....... i am sure you will have a couple hundred sold just to thompson collector's...........anyways.keep us posted on what you do.........and get them in time for knob creek and phx s.a.r.show...........and i'm sure you can sell about fifty just on this board.............remember the work{and the expense} comes first, then the moolah back to you,and the honor..........wink!! take care, ron
Guest hardrede
I did mention that this is GRATIS, didn't I??? I am doing this for FREE for our Sheriff, not to make some money. Thompson greed is NOT IN EFFECT!!!!! LOL This is for the department so I am doing it to help them get funds for new equipment. We had some pretty bad riots here last year. Over 30 houses burned down in a town of about 12,000. Crime Index is around 300 when national average is 100. Soooo.... this is to get new stuff. I will not make ANY money on this, just maybe curry a little political favor!! LOL I like the brick wall idea and both guns. Most people want to see BOTH serial numbers. That might be harder, but still can do. I put in a call to the Sheriff today, so I will probably talk to him tomorrow. I'll keep everyone informed. Guest hardrede
Hey, knock it off already. I like Old English, it is like Fraktur in Old German!!!!! And "faggy" in Olde English, correct me if I'm wrong, would be an adjective meaning "like a cigarette!!!!" You are more on the mark than most and I respect your opinion, Mr Colt21A, errr Ron!!!! So I just might put some "same-gender reproduction habits" lettering on the pics!!!!
full auto 45
Maybe something like this with a brick wall behind, a old straw hat and a calender with Feb 1929 on the page. Just a thought. http://mikesmachineguns.homestead.com/files/close3_4view.jpg
Grey Crow
Cool Beans! The Brick background sounds great. Old English is a nice font but not easily read. Perhaps a box or 2 of ammo selectively spilled about. Reconfirming and backing my e-mail, that I will take 2!
Grey Crow
Great Idea Mike!!! I like the calendar idea.... you wouldn't need much else in the way of text. I like the photo you submitted, "Fantastic"
