LTD on M3 gg

I'd go back to the ATF and have them correct the Form 4. They will do so, (I have done this several times AFTER i got the approved Form 4) so to accurately reflect the type, model and SN and barrel length (not to mention SN!). ATF will, after about a 90 day delay, review the material you submit (must include an original signed, scanned request detailing what you want corrected, Form 4, copy of trust (if you use one), tons of pics and some type of historical substantiation for the requested change.

They will NOT send you a corrected Form 4, instead you will get an official ATF "correction" letter, so when you do sell, the letter plus the Form 4 will accurately describe the gun.

If the LTD was part of the serial number it would be on the registration, so it is not. It was added and there's a good chance they are the initials of the reactivator.

Marking reactivated, registered DEWATs is required as noted above but the actual requirement for this intrusive practice misconstrued by ATF as a "manufacturing" process includes the address and state as well as ID of person/shop doing the work and filing the paperwork F1 or F2. Just the initials does not comply with the code since reactivation is "manufacturing" and requires full ID because of that.
No change in the info on the paperwork of reactivated MG is allowed or required. It remains the same as the info on the original registration.

Just stamping of the initials of the person doing the reactivation really isn't that common but I have seen at least half a dozen or more examples of this being done over many years.

Larry Smith, who did a lot of reactivations, for example, only put on his initials.
Since ATF never inspected any of this work at the time they never raised any complaints about it.

FWIW
