Sent in request in 2015. Received documents last week. I was curious about how the transfers relating to the bankruptcy auction were handled. Military Armament corporation declared bankruptcy in December 1975. The public auction took place on June 14, 1976.
According to the documents I received:
Notice of manufacture was 8/22/72
First tax exempt transfer - applied 1/30/78, approved 2/07/78
Second tax exempt transfer - applied 11/13/78, approved 11/21/78
Tax paid transfer to myself as an individual - applied 12/01/78, approved 4/11/79
I do not see any transfers around time of the 1976 auction. Or did it just take 20 months to finalize the auction sale.
