Anxiously Awaiting Knob Creek Reports

Recommended Posts

I know a number of board members who went. I usually attend the shoot on Friday, but this was one in a long time that I had to miss. I hope that it is a safe, fun and profitable shoot for all vendors and attendees.

They rolled out 3 Sherman tanks on the firing line today and fired rounds. That was pretty cool.

No Shermans, it was three M5 Stuarts.

Found a few bits and pieces for my Vickers and 1917A1 along with a cork and chain assembly for a Russian Maxim. The last is something that is rather difficult to find.

Also was able to visit with forum member TD for a while.

Will be there again all day Saturday.

One of the best KC events I've had for years! Found a link and brass ejection chute for my MG81Z. Wasn't quite sure what is was but for $100 it was going home. Found an image on web and low and behold, it is a twin ground gun chute... Went back and gave the seller (an old freind C3) $400 more.

Other nice find was rear site cover assembly for my L2A1. It came with a rare but not correct C2A1 diopter site cover. Not cheap but we'll worth the cost.

Left by 11 am Saturday home in PA for dinner with cash still in my pocket... Good few days...

There were some over priced guns-AO 1928 marching upper/lower for $36k. Couple WH guns and the Colts already mentioned. Couple Peral M1A1s also

I missed the Pearls, do you know the prices?

FYI, I found and bought a Chauchat bolt with an intact bolt face. Now I just need a great deal on a DEWAT, or someone that needs it real bad. ;-)

Pearl M1 IIRC was 22K

Also a Urich 1928 (not a Pearl) was about 22K too.

I may have the numbers a bit off - long weekend!
