Got Uzi
I have been looking at M1 carbines for sometime now and I want a paratrooper stock model but can't justify the cost of an original one. I have been looking at both the Kahr Arms and the Inland made M1's and paratroopers models. My main question is this-could a M2 kit work in these guns? I know that the stock would have to be relieved so the selector lever would fit but I'm more curious if the gun itself would stand up to the abuse. n64atlas
There are Italian M2 paratrooper stocks out there. They sometimes need a bit of work to the folding stock metal as some are not bent right. The new ones may not have the inletting and "potbelly" for the M2 slide as well. Here is my M2 with shortened barrel in one of these stocks.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0603/n64atlas/various%20pics/m2carbine.jpg Edited December 21, 2015 by n64atlas

jim c 351
The FA feature of the M2 carbine was never intended to be used with wild abandon , as one would do with an Uzi or grease gun.The M2 intended to be used FA in emergencies only and the switched back to SA.To shoot a carbine like you did with an Uzi would destroy it.As far as the M1A1 stock is concerned , they look cool, but would come loose with abusive fire.An Uzi would be better suited to large amounts of FA fire. Keep your eye on the look out for one.Jim
Got Uzi
Jim, I was thinking of it more for a range play toy and to add to the WWII collection of FA stuff I have.
