Tman
Take a gander at this. My living history crew was tapped by EA Games (makers of the Medal of Honor series) to help them with their upcoming release of MOH in the Pacific Theater. Yours truly starring as the unnamed Thompson gunner. Click on the link and go to Short Subject. Tman
The group from EA Games had the whole schmere. Lighting, sound booms, the works. We spent all day filming. The BAR is a Sarco reweld for blanks only. The Stuart belongs to the museum. It has a fully operational 37mm main gun and we stick a 1919 .30 cal in the front. The Japanese Chi Ha was rescued from an impact range from some post here stateside. The living history crew built the battlefield to include 2 bunkers, a beach with seawalls and the palm trees. If you guys are planning a trip down this way, let me know and I will let you know when our show dates are. Upcoming weekends are 3-4 July and 27-28 Nov. Nick, I play all of them. But I have to admit that COD is my fave.
Tex
Tman, Where did y'all do this at? Looks like that was fun! BTW, one of my favorite uncles was in the 36th, up until Anzio or Salerno (can't remember which) anyways, till he was wounded and sent back to England to recover in time for D-Day. Walter63a
Thanks Tman, for sharing that excellent reenactment! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif I really appreciated it, since my father was a WWII Pacific Theatre veteran. Whenever he saw documentaries of the war, he would mutter, half under his breath, "Those dirty yellow-bellied Japs!" I have since learned that Admiral Halsey called them that, and worse! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif The were a terribly tenacious, brutal, even heartless enemy. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif Regards, Walter
