Normal1959
I bought these on Ebay and looking at Jim's book, the one on the top, is an original Chauchat belt. These were made by American contractors and you will notice (according to Jim) it has the shallow gun cup and no BAR magazine pouches.Never seen one before and just stumbled on it. I collect WW1 and WW2 web gear.Eric Edited March 2, 2019 by Normal1959

jim c 351
Eric,Apparently the Chauchat belts only purpose was to provide a cup for the buttstock. How did they carry the Chauchat mags.Anyway,-- your post inspired me to do a similar post on our favorite rifle.Jim C
Normal1959
Hi JimThey had a seperate bag they carried. One for sale on Ebay but i have no use for it. $225 and seems like a fair price if you have a Chauchat.I love your collection.Eric
