M3 Disassembly Question

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

while shooting my M3, a faulty mag got a round loose and and before i knew it , it has gotten behind the bolt.

After removing the barrel, the next step is to remove the metal clip from the grip. U tube videos dont explain anything but show it coming out the grip side and piviting down to remove it.I finally got it out and cant get the bolt out or the trigger housing to remove

Any suggestions??? There are no u tube videos with sound and the ones i saw are animated.

Thanks in advance\

I got it out

Damn! those spring clips are harder than xxxx to get out

Maybe after 70 years it was stuck!!

Happy ending

Haris,

The M3 is very simple and disassembles in seconds, but I have to admit your question has confused me.

What is the "clip from the grip" ??? Is it the trigger guard??.

Your first step should have to remove the trigger guard.

Next the cocking assembly.

Then the bolt assembly.

Have you done these steps??

Yes, the trigger guard is what i meant. It took lots of pulling to pry it out of the hole

next the cocking assembly - felt like it was glued in, then voila!! it came loose and off. then the bolt assembly of course

Now its all good!

Thanks
